Shortprint what is built

the state of it, as of 7 September 2026

What is built, and what is not

Most companies at this stage publish the middle column and call it a product. Here are all three, including the one that says never.

Runningtoday

All of this exists and is playable right now on the demo league — a real twelve-manager season played forward, with the managers' names changed.

  • The card engineFronts and backs on the 2026 chassis, rendered from a league's own results. 321 designs in the 2026 set.
  • The checklistEvery design numbered, with its print run, fogged until somebody in the league pulls it.
  • Packs and the RipA weekly drop earned from results, opened a pack at a time or a box at a time.
  • The binder and the CaseEvery card a manager holds, sorted how they like, with five of them on display.
  • The WireTrades between managers: only cards actually held, both sides accept, offers expire after a week.
  • Set bonusesTwelve recipes that name themselves when you are one card away. Found, never bought.
  • The commissioner's deskInvites, the weekly drop, a reset, and the announcement line you paste into the group chat.
  • Sign-in with no passwordA manager taps the link their commissioner sent. That is the whole of it.
  • Cards that unfurl in a chatA card's link posts as the card itself.

Neveron purpose

Not a backlog. These are the things Shortprint is built specifically not to be, and they will not appear later under a different name.

  • A marketNo resale, no listings, no floor price, no wallet, no cash value.
  • Packs for saleEvery pack is earned from a result. There will never be a way to buy one.
  • Wagering or oddsNothing here is a bet and nothing pays out.
  • A core set of licensed prosThe cards are about the people in your league. A draft card names the player somebody picked; the subject is always the manager.
  • Selling your league's dataIt makes your league's cards. It does not go anywhere else, ever.
  • AdvertisingNobody's league is inventory.

Questions we have not answered yet

rather than guessing in public

Two real gaps, and one thing that simply does not exist yet. They are listed here because a commissioner deciding whether to ask eleven friends for money deserves to see them, and because writing a confident sentence we might have to take back is worse than saying we do not know.

  • The refund line. If a league pays and the season cannot be delivered, or if a league changes its mind in week 3 — both cases need an answer we intend to keep, and neither has one yet.
  • What a league that does not renew keeps access to, and for how long. Nothing earned gets taken away as a punishment; the exact shape of a dormant league is not written down.
  • The printed pack and the champion card in the post. Nothing physical is in production. They are not part of the Season Pass, nothing is promised for the 2026 season, and no league will be charged for them. When they are real they get costed and priced before anybody is asked for money.

If any of those decides it for your league, write to us and you will get a straight answer and, when we settle it, this page will change.
